In order to give direction to his career and specifically to his remaining year of law school, the author, a law student at Emory University, interrupted his schooling to spend a year in self-selected legal clerkships. His experiences and a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of such a program are presented. (JMD)

More counseling psychology students, including those from programs not approved by the American Psychological Association, are obtaining internships. There are fewer but better applicants and while students are having an easier time finding internships, especially in community mental health centers, job placements are more difficult. (JAC)

The Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum at the University of Utah provides an integrated program of courses, clerkships and clinical research. Randomly selected clinical teaching sessions in a University of Illinois medical school clerkship were videotaped. A verbal behavior classification schedule was used to analyze the proportion of talking done by the instructors and students involved.
