Employing the same strategy that served to encompass the cognitive domain within two dimensions, this paper presents a synoptic structure for the affective domain in relation to science education. On three occasions over a one-year period 23 children aged 3-4 were asked to match target objects with other objects which were similar to the target in shape or in color but not in both.
