A study of 1290 students in four New England colleges of pharmacy has demonstrated that the preferred practice (or nonpractice) setting of students is influenced by the college of pharmacy attended, year in school, grade point average, sex, and the nature and extent of internship and externship experience. Survey data from 165 students entering three Canadian MBA programs were examined for relationships between personal characteristics and importance of program attributes to the students. A study of 44 graduate students from a private university was designed to determine the contribution of academic factors to the prediction of graduate school grade point average (GPA). Counseling interviews (N=19) were rated on the Counselor Rating Form in terms of perceived counselor expertness, attractiveness, and trustworthiness.
