An exploratory study of the role of "faculty field liaison" was conducted, utilizing a national survey of 88 master's programs in social work. The study confirmed that the role is more complex and diverse than anticipated with the need for some form of uniform understanding and training of liaisons. (Author/MH)

A study of changes in master's programs in nursing between 1979 and 1984 found significant changes in some admission requirements, an increase in gerontology majors and a trend toward specialty majors, and no change in thesis requirement but an increase in requirements for comprehensive examinations.
