Lohnes, Paul R. – American Educational Research Journal, 1979
Factorial modeling is justified as a method for analyzing correlations in support of causal inference. The method is illustrated and compared to path analysis, LISREL-type analysis, canonical correlation, and commonality analysis. Predictions of impacts of policy manipulations are demonstrated. (Author/CP)

Rounds, James B.; And Others – Journal of Counseling Psychology, 1979
Explored the relationship between vocational needs and experiential factors and constructed a weighted biographical information form to predict vocational needs. Analysis showed the utility of this form as a measure of vocational needs. (Author/BEF)

McFatter, Robert M. – Applied Psychological Measurement, 1979
The usual interpretation of suppressor effects in a multiple regression equation assumes that the correlations among variables have been generated by a particular structural model. And Others; Werts, Charles E. – Educational and Psychological Measurement, 1979
It is shown how partial covariance, part and partial correlation, and regression weights can be estimated and tested for significance by means of a factor analytic model. Comparable partial covariance, correlations, and regression weights have identical significance tests. (Author)
