Johnson, Norbert; And Others – Journal for Specialists in Group Work, 1982
Examined the effects on self-actualization of CETA supervisors who participated in a Rational Behavioral Training (RBT) group. The Personal Orientation Inventory (POI) was administered to experimental and control groups before and after the group. Results indicated the RBT experience enabled participants to move toward self-actualization. (RC)

Examined the relationship between social adjustment and problem solving skills in samples of popular, aggressive, and isolated boys. Popular boys generated more problem solutions than the other groups. Data showed deviant boys are deficient in generating solutions but not in evaluations of presented solutions. (Author/RC)

Two experiments, using pictorial or verbal stimuli, were designed to test encoding among young children and adults. In both experiments, results indicated progressively smaller encoding specificity effects with increasing age. Compared the assertive behavior of two groups differing in information-processing style. In experiment one, high conceptual-complexity (CC) subjects demonstrated greater content knowledge, direct delivery skill, and fewer negative self-statements.
