Using the IBM Interactive Instructional System software, a series of interactive study modules for college students taking a course in analysis of variance techniques was developed. Seventh-graders (n=160) were assessed before and after a 9-week industrial technology course: 67 in traditional labs with old equipment, 65 in modular labs, and 28 in contemporary, updated labs. The contemporary lab produced the greatest achievement gain, significantly better than the modular approach in a number of areas. (SK)

An alcohol early intervention education package was tested with nursing students; 73 preregistration and 33 registered nurses used it; 71 and 35 were controls.
