A course based on the science used in science fiction stories is described wherein the students read the stories and discuss the physics content. A partial list of the books read is included along with the background theme and appropriate references. (DF)

Children rated books they had read; the more recently a book was read the more likely it was to be rated as enjoyable. The findings are discussed with reference to the problems of teachers and librarians who select books for children. (Editor)
