In order to rectify methodological inadequacies in previous research on ethnic residential dissimilarity, this study provides a more direct test of the ethnic-status model (as opposed to the social-status model) by examining the effects of cultural factors, as well as socioeconomic and demographic factors, on ethnic segregation.
