Studied the process of child psychotherapy by means of analyses of client verbal behaviors. Analyses of variables demonstrated the nature of each client's verbal responding as well as their pattern of change. Performed a factor analysis on the results of the Wechsler Memory Scale for 99 older males to determine how normally aging older adults perform. Results seem to indicate that the manner of functioning in later life becomes deficient in quality rather than in quantitative performance. (Author)

Participants in two studies were asked to rate the importance of favorite leisure activities in relation to their work. Six dimensions were found in both studies: (1) physical challenge; (2) mental challenge; (3) sensuality; (4) risk; (5) autonomy vs. sociability; and (6) stimulation. (JN)

Examined the relationships among interest and personality inventory responses of (N=275) scientific personnel. Operational replications were performed using two previous interest-personality studies as targets. Canonical correlation analyses indicated that interest-personality domains are related in a logically consistent manner. (RC)

A principal factor analysis was performed on a matrix of correlations amoung measures of field independence, intelligence, and achievement in reading and mathematics. The California Entry Level Test (ELT) means are used with demographic variables to predict differences among California schools and districts on subsequent reading achievement tests. Factor analyses resulted in distinct factors for each of the subtests. The validity of the ELT was very high for its intended purpose. (Author/BW)

The six subtests comprising the Metropolitan Readiness Tests were factor analyzed separately for White females, White males, Black females, and Black males.
