A study to evaluate the effect of a resident-staffed continuity clinic providing immediate subspecialty consulting rather than referral is reported. The study compared pediatric and nonpediatric clinics. A reduction in pediatric subspecialty visits occurred where general pediatricians could be expected to have substantial expertise. (MSE)

Research shows a trend toward increased fragmentation and specialization among graduate level and professional psychologists that is spreading to undergraduate education. A study shows a pattern of increased continuing medical education participation with increases in the number of partners sharing a practice, both for family practitioners and specialists but particularly the latter. Newbould, Charles A. – Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education, 1981
Test data were used to compare the grading of two forms of double mathematics: pure and applied math, and regular and advanced math. Results confirm expectations that in the former system, the grading is comparable, and in the latter, it is not necessarily comparable. Implications for student admission are discussed. (MSE)

Studied college students who had chosen majors and occupations and were satisfied with their choices. Gender significantly predicted choice of gender-dominated majors and occupations.
