Explores the generality of findings relating intelligence to Inspection Time (IT), the exposure necessary to judge which of two lines is longer, in two studies using normal children and mentally retarded adults. Results showed the relationship between IT and performance IQ was lower in the mentally retarded group. (JAC)

When predicting work adjustment for disadvantaged trainees, intelligence tests will predict better for whites than blacks. Additional data suggest that the counselor who is interested in predicting the work adjustment of his clients should be aware of the need to develop different prediction criteria for whites and blacks.
