Among a group of 103 children with a mean age of eight years, full-scale IQ correlation was significantly higher for monozygotic than dizygotic pairs. Monozygotic pairs also showed significantly greater concordance for subtest profile than dizygotic pairs. The usefulness of profile analysis is examined, and directions for future research are…

Sternberg, Robert J. – Roeper Review, 1986
The triarchic theory of intellectual giftedness asserts that intelligence must be understood in terms of three aspects: the internal world of the individual, the external world of the individual, and the interface between these two as it unfolds through experience. The theory is explained through the profiles of three graduate students. (Author/CL)

Sternberg, Robert J. – Science, 1985
Examines the relationship of intelligence to the internal and external world of the individual and to the experience of the individual. Also examines competing models and metaphors that have motivated questions about these relationships. Indicates that a theory that addressed all three areas simultaneously is the triarchic theory.
