Results indicated that the average child manifests a few of each type of deviant behavior, but rarely shows a large number of behaviors related to any one type of disorder. Deviant behavior was inversely associated with intelligence, but minimally affected by race, socioeconomic status and age. (Author)

A Young Children's Social Desirability Scale based on the MMPI was constructed and administered to nursery school children. Results showed that social desirability scores increased with age, showed a low positive relationship to picture vocabularly IQ, and were unrelated to sex in a high socieconomic sample. (KJ)
