Testing of 11-year-old students from educable and regular classes, applying the concept of multiple criteria, suggested that 25 percent of children in educable classes may be misplaced and should be in a regular classroom. (KW)

First grade rural Mexican American children were tested to determine whether the use of a bilingual interpreter would significantly influence their Verbal, Performance, and Total IQ scores. Results indicate no significant differences. (Author)

Results indicated that the average child manifests a few of each type of deviant behavior, but rarely shows a large number of behaviors related to any one type of disorder. Deviant behavior was inversely associated with intelligence, but minimally affected by race, socioeconomic status and age. (Author)

A Young Children's Social Desirability Scale based on the MMPI was constructed and administered to nursery school children. Results showed that social desirability scores increased with age, showed a low positive relationship to picture vocabularly IQ, and were unrelated to sex in a high socieconomic sample. (KJ)
