Affective education programs have had an uneven impact upon children, teachers, and school systems, as have affective interventions. This paper describes an experimental intervention and two active control programs, and uses an Aptitude X Treatment Interaction analysis for reporting their impact in the affective domain. (Author)

Touch avoidance is a nonverbal communication predisposition that consists of same sex touch avoidance and opposite sex touch avoidance. It is related to communication apprehension, self-disclosure, self-esteem, and a series of cultural role variables. These seem to have the greatest relationship with the measures of touch avoidance. Examines the effect which student participation in test construction has on test scores. In each comparison, students who prepared test items, and then were examined by a sample of those items, scored higher than students who took items prepared by other students; however, no difference was seen within groups. A sample of 65 healthy males (31 to 75 years old) memorized lists of six letters (familiar or unfamiliar organization). Age-related differences in the unfamiliar condition could not be wholly accounted for by psychomotor factors.
