The results of an ethnographic study of adolescent interethnic relations among Chinese-Canadians, Italian-Canadians, and Anglo-Canadians are reported in this article. Ethnic density proved a better predictor of the number of close out-group friendships than did a child's particular ethnic group membership. (Author/DB)

A field study of a naturally functioning group (N=125) was conducted to identify common group problems. Trained observers attended group meetings and described the problems encountered. Difficulties of cohesion, leadership, sub-group formation, and personality conflict were identified. (RC)

After two years of operation, this field-based, masters degree program in teacher education based on local concerns and local school districts was judged by its participants to have more advantages than the traditional or standard program because of the cooperative spirit developed between the university and the community.
