Two methods of assessing co-curricular needs of college students were investigated. Results revealed substantial differences exist between the percentage of students who indicated a campus service was important to them in meeting a personal need and the percentage of students who actually intended to use the service in question. An environmental assessment of ethnic minority students was performed using the College Student Questionnaire and the Environmental Satisfaction Questionnaire. The hypotheses of this study were that role-taking training would increase (1) role-taking skills and (2) relative amount of peer interaction as compared with adult interaction. Results were that experimental subjects increased significantly in spatial role-taking only, although changes in conceptual scores were in the predicted direction. (Author)

Significant differences between 200 counseling seekers and 200 nonseekers were obtained on nine of the 11 Mooney Problem Check List areas. An item analysis over four additional samples yielded a scale of 42 items of potential predictive usefulness. Students who eventually become clients differ substantially from their nonclient peers.
