Examined postdivorce relationships between ex-spouses, using survey data from 265 respondents from couples who had been divorced for 2 to 2.5 years. The role of emotional closeness in delimiting the bounds of grandparental influence was explored using a questionnaire. Participants' (N=171) perceptions of the strength of their closest relationship to a grandparent were correlated with dependent measures such as beliefs and values and relationship impact.
