Results indicate that feminists and nonfeminists of both sexes have disparate perceptions of desirable characteristics for women. The conceptualization of teacher role has led to the six-factor Role Dimension Profile Scale. When responses to the scale used with a Likert data collection format are analyzed, the resulting single dimension is interpreted as the teacher's "professional horizon." Assessed the effects of two types of communicative cues on perceptions of dominance. Subjects viewed stimulus tapes of controlled conversations and rated each speaker. Fifteen male and 15 female friendship pairs at three grade levels (grades 5, 7 and 9) participated in a study of interpersonal perceptions of friendship.
