The economy has dramatized for educators the need for educators to make teaching and learning more responsive to the world of work. The efforts of the AACJC are described with regard to education-work councils, occupational safety and health, women in occupational education, and a joint study with the American Vocational Association. The admissions and selection process of the Washington State College of Veterinary Medicine, which provides cooperative education, services and research to Washington, Idaho, and Oregon.
