Described the Self Directed Job Search, developed for students in occupational skills training classes to acquire knowledge and confidence needed to obtain jobs. A field test showed that classroom instructors could successfully present the self-directed job search training, and students could improve their confidence and job search knowledge. (JAC)

Surveyed 203 recent college graduates to determine what sources of information students use to find employment and how helpful these sources are. Surveyed female and male Ph.Ds to examine sex differences in job seeking, job attainment, and factors influencing career advancement.
