Examined the effect of orientation in altering concerns of new college students. Measured the change in level of student concern about academics, finances, physical layout, university structure, social integration and identity, housing, and social relationships. Studied the effects of realistic job previews (RJPs) with candidates (N=842) for telephone service representative. Two types of preview, a film and job visit, were used. Results showed no significant differences between RJP candidates and control candidates with respect to job acceptance, expectations, job commitment, and turnover. (Author/RC)

To test assumptions of male superiority and African weakness in handling spatial relationships, elementary students in Ghana and Scotland were administered mental rotation and shape assembly tasks. Ghanaian subjects had more difficulty with mental rotation, while girls in both cultures did less well on block construction. (Author/SUL)
