A comparison study between the 371 graduates of FIU's External Degree Program and a randomly-selected sample of graduates from the traditional on-campus degree programs is reported. A questionnaire survey of graduates of University of Michigan's Residential College during 1971-1974 indicates that those students were not disadvantaged in the competition for postgraduate and occupational opportunities. The study reviewed findings on the postschool adjustment of 160 behavior-disordered students who graduated from special education programs in the state of Washington between 1978 and 1986.
