Initial stage of proposed ten-year study of 2 groups of student leaders of social activist groups. Analyzes students' parental occupational influence, academic record and social organizational affiliations in effort to assess their present and future impact on medical education and practice. Sixty-two participants in an intensive six week institute were surveyed to determine influences of training during the year. Early identification was investigated by following the same children from kindergarten entrance through grade five. Kindergarten predictive measures were the Bender Gestalt and teachers' evaluations; followup measures were yearly standard achievement test results. (Author)
