All 54 marketing education state supervisors were surveyed to identify adult marketing education services provided for small business owners. It was apparent that data are lacking, services are limited, and the adult component is being deemphasized in marketing education. (JOW)

Many resources (including grants and training) that are available from state Developmental Disabilities Councils are of interest to parents of disabled persons about to leave the public education system. The Councils for each state and the District of Columbia are listed. (CB)

Extension has four roles in the economic development arena: (1) providing perspective, (2) increasing the knowledge base, (3) teaching management skills, and (4) shaping institutional structure.
