Although group counseling is available to students, there have been few follow-up studies to determine if this counseling approach is effective. A study to obtain follow-up information from junior and senior high school students who had participated in group counseling during elementary school is described. (Author)

A follow-up was done on a 1976 survey of communication trends in schools and programs for the hearing impaired in the U.S. Although a lower response rate made direct comparison of numbers impossible, the percentage of classes using the various communication modes was consistent with the earlier study. Interviews with 1177 male and female college students revealed no significant differences in sexual behavior between those who took public school sex education courses and those who did not, nor between those taught about birth control or about coitus. This article reports on a follow-up survey of disabled individuals discharged from an aftercare hospital residence program, who had begun a program for independent living to support their vocational development.
