This article examines the internal and external pressures that brought about the creation of the APGA Licensure Commission. It traces some important events that have occurred at least in part because of the Commission. Finally, the article discusses the active focus of the current APGA Licensure Committee. (Author)

The role of interviewing in diffusing possible harmful side effects of sterilization operations was evaluated in an acute general hospital.
