Surveyed a random sample of university residence hall students about accomodations, procedures, staff, and organization to assess satisfaction with the quality of residence hall life. Findings showed satisfaction differed by academic classification and type of accommodation. Changes from 1971-1981 are discussed. (RC)

Many older adults react to old age with empirically identified distinguishable mannerisms. Using these mannerisms, or behavior patterns, as a basis for rapport, gerontologists can: (1) uncover causes of adjustment problems; (2) assess seriousness of problems; and (3) implement counseling suggestions.
