Examined toddlers attention to distress in a daycare setting. Found that crying and screaming, intensity level, caregiver responses in general, and moral causes of distress were related to higher levels of attention by the group. Behavior profiles of four experienced teachers of infants and toddlers were obtained by means of the Assessing the Behavior of Caregivers (ABC) checklist. This Colorado study of practices in infant and toddler programs (ages 0-4) involved a review of 53 individual family service plans (IFSPs) and perceptions of 44 parents and 51 professionals concerning family-centered practices.
