Two models of geriatric day care can be empirically discriminated using data from a field study of 10 programs. Programs in both models show some tendency to adapt their features to existing environments. Descriptions of both models are presented. (Author)

Analysis of employment patterns of methadone maintenance clients had indicated that the majority were not employed at time of program admission. At time of evaluation, 70 percent of the sample were employed; 88 percent of these clients had previous work histories and brought marketable skills with them. (Author)

Used intensive interviewing and observation of volunteer sample of six families of victims of head injuries over eight-month period. Results indicated similar experiences and coping responses occurring in families following head injury. Head-injury rehabilitation systems were found to be more client centered than family centered. Visually handicapped Indian clients ages 22-30 (N=68) completed a questionnaire designed to assess their risk-taking tendencies. Comparisons between individual responses and the consensus decisions of groups (male only) were made.
