In preparation for a national survey of clinical nurse researchers (CNR), important issues from the literature were identified and used in designing a telephone interview guide. Following a literature review, this paper examines the economic rationale for choosing nursing training through analyzing the private rate of return to nursing schools in River State, Nigeria.
