Clients admitted to an alcohol abuse treatment program volunteered for social skills training related to difficult on-the-job situations. Describes use of the Tavistock model for studying group relations to teach alcoholism counselors group process. Counselors (N=32) participated in weekend study groups. An informal follow-up evaluation consisted of a reaction paper, oral discussions, and a questionnaire. Counselors' evaluations were predominantly positive. (RC)

Discussed how driving-while-intoxicated (DWI) repeaters differed signigicantly from nonrepeaters on 4 of 23 variables tested. Medical records of 88 five- to twelve-year-old boys (44 with central language problems and a diagnosed hyperactive behavior syndrome) were reviewed. The best predictor of membership in the group with language problems and diagnosed hyperactivity was family alcohol problems. (Author)

Hand Test and Rorschach variables significantly differentiated two subgroups of aggressive and nonaggressive alcoholics. The aggressive group was characterized as hostile and impulsive.
