A study to test self-concept applications in helping students choose and attain goals to improve their grade point average, and to enjoy more productive experiences at West Virginia University is presented. Behavioral and subjective report measures indicated that some form of undecidedness, tentativeness, or uncertainty about choice of major existed in at least three out of four college freshmen.
