The study concludes that a significant interaction between leadership style and leader member relations was present but did not differentailly affect groups with good leader member relations. In groups with poor leader member relations the interaction effect was highly significant, but in the direction opposite of that predicted. (Author)

Suggested is a team approach which would pair a minority group counselor with a white counselor to provide support to the client not only in regard to his cultural aspects but also in regard to the wider community with which he may not be familiar and in which neither he nor the minority group counselor may feel at ease.
