A survey of residents at a county medical center concerning their education before and after a new faculty practice plan found improved ratings on three of nine characteristics: quality of staff, quality of supervision, and heterogeneity of patients. A five-year project of postgraduate training in dentistry for patients with severe disabilities resulted in significant cognitive and confidence gains for the participating dentists, dental hygienists, and assistants.
