Describes the use of future autobiographies, a tool which has been used sparingly in counseling and career development. College students wrote future autobiographies in 1969. In a follow-up study in 1979, they wrote actual autobiographies. Results suggest that individuals are able to develop accurate future cognitive maps. (Author/JAC)
