Changes in cash management practices from 1978 to 1981 were investigated in a random sample of 145 North Carolina school districts, stratified by attendance size. Analysis using chi-square tests indicated the level of investment sophistication (as measured by the proportion of cash invested) has increased, especially for large districts. (RW)

A computer-based needs assessment system used successfully in planning continuing dental education in South Carolina is described. A brief questionnaire, sent to the adoption specialist in the state public child welfare agency in every state and the District of Columbia, posed the question: "In general, are foster parents given preference to adopt a child who has been in their care as a foster child and who is free for adoption?" Analyzed (N=221) questionnaires completed by members of the Idaho Personnel and Guidance Association and the Idaho Psychological Association. Reports on a telephone survey of a sample of Ohio residents concerning their views of the schools and their sources of information on the schools.
