A longitudinal study of three fast-food restaurants explored this relationship against the background of the social network structures in each site. Surveyed 691 teachers to investigate whether those who regretted their career choice differed in perceived occupational stress from those who were content. Results showed 52 percent of the teachers would not choose teaching again. They were absent more often and reported stress as a factor in their absences. (JAC)
