Compared the effectiveness of behavioral (BT) or physical therapy (PT) for treating chronic low back pain (CLBP), for 13 BT patients and 12 PT patients. Examined therapists' attitudes and fantasies toward clients involved in extramarital sex, sexually open marriages, and swinging. Therapists (N=57) responded to a 17-item questionnaire. The prediction that therapists would have more negative then positive attitudes toward alternative lifestyle clients was supported. (RC)

Investigated midlife influences on daydreaming for 477 women from 40 to 60 years of age. Examined 42 variables including health status, symptom presence, menstruation difficulties, sexual activities, and effects of menopause. While instructors came in for their share of the blame, the students attributed a large percentage of their cuts to causes for which the teachers were not at all responsible.
