However, cohabitors over 30, divorced women, those with high incomes, and those who were together for over ten years, had very low rates of violence. Results found higher levels of competence were associated with a more demanding environment, and engaging in more activities. Preretirement characteristics, postretirement attitudes, and retirement satisfaction were examined for (N=1511) retirees. Multivariate analysis indicated that retirement style was a significant predictor of overall retirement satisfaction, and the subscales of satisfaction with activities, and satisfaction with finances.
