A transformational model offers a way to eliminate the middleman (programmer) in acccessing a computerized data base. It provides a basis for the algorithms which analyze the input query. Content analyses of popular literature publications have been performed for data from 1820-1948. The purposes of the present study were to extend these analyses to present times and to describe what were advocated as good" childrearing procedures over the past 20 years. (Author)
