Basic Skills Assessment Program reading scores for all South Carolina students in grades 1-3 and 6 were analyzed. Failure to meet state standards was higher among younger, male, Black, and lunch-subsidized students. Risk of failure was still higher for younger students after controls for race, gender and lunch-payment status. (Author/PB)

The Computer Attitude Scale was adapted for use with Turkish university students. Translation to Turkish and back to English established the scale. Results with 282 university students indicates the utility of the scale with Turkish students, although the construct functions differently between the cultures. (SLD)

A revision of the Sutter-Eyberg Student Behavior Inventory (S. Eyberg and D. Pincus, in press), a teacher rating scale of conduct behavior problems at school, was completed by 38 teachers for 726 students in grades 5 through 12. Item analyses led to retention of 10 of the 17 experimental test items and deletion of 8 original items. (SLD)
