Self esteem is found to be significantly related to feelings toward parents and peers in grade 8 and 11 subjects. If a developmental shift in the relationship between self esteem and feelings toward friends occurs, it does so slowly, showing only a slight beginning by the 11th grade. (Author/DEP)

The relationship between academic achievement and part-time employment was examined. Employment status, hours worked per week, extracurricular activities, grades, and ACT test scores of 477 high school juniors (196 nonemployed, 281 employed) were compared. Results are presented. (Author/MT)

A study of 236 11th-grade accounting students was conducted to measure the economic literacy of students enrolled in high school business education. It was found that those students who had accounting instruction had mean scores that were higher than those students who did not have accounting instruction. (CT)
