Examines the relationship among child behavior, spouse behavior, and personal daily activities to a mother's satisfaction with her child. Results suggest that child's behavior is the best predictor of her satisfaction but that other aspects also contribute. Suggests that assessments should consider all areas of a mother's life. (SA)

Examined the impact of a specific therapist disclosure (previous involvement in therapy as a client) upon subjects' (N=175) perceptions of the therapist and the therapeutic relationship. Results indicated that subjects viewed the disclosing therapist as having more favorable personal and therapeutic abilities than the nondisclosing therapist. (LLL)

Two experiments were conducted to isolate the trait-anxiety-reducing effects of transcendental meditation (TM) from expectation of relief and the concomitant ritual of sitting twice daily. The results strongly support the conclusion that the crucial therapeutic component of TM is not the TM exercise. (Author)
