Growth of institutions, paucity of personnel, suggest need for counselors to engage in activities aimed at prevention of student difficulties. Results of survey of counseling center administrators (sixty percent response) indicate need for even more involvement to assist students in meeting pressures of the times. (CJ)

A sizeable portion of the variances and convariances of judgments on the actual environment can be accounted for by four perceptual spaces. Cue utilization and stimulus sampling models appear to offer a fruitful approach to environmental assessment. (DG)

The author presents a case-study in which the group process Program Planning Model, a problem solving approach developed at Wisconsin School of Business, was used to help resolve the hostility between a small rural community and a college with a varied student body. (Editor/LF)

The results suggest that in certain areas the environment tends to extend certain characteristics over time. Furthermore, this extension or accentuation effect seems to be associated with the amount of time spent in an environment or college major. (Author)

The concept of mental health was re-examined, and it was argued that consensual identification of healthy individuals is quite feasible. To facilitate student growth in this direction, both verticle and lateral modes of education need careful examination, development, and coordination. (Author)

It is the writers' opinion that for the university ombudsman to be fully functioning, the parameters of his job must be quite similar to those constituted for his Scandinavian counterparts. They propose that although organizationally responsible to the president, he is accountable to the total university community. (Author)
