The Critical Skills Inventory was completed by 101 of 167 health and 73 of 132 trade/industrial employers in Missouri. Consistent with an earlier educators' survey, primary emphasis was placed on employability skills over basic and technical skills. A cost-benefit analysis tool was developed with data from 58 health occupations programs in two-year colleges. Clinical experience was primarily conducted in hospitals.
