A survey of 19 married and five unmarried former cohabiters suggests that cohabitation is a gradual movement characterized by opportunity isolated from immediate social controls. Teachers' behavior ratings of normal and maladjusted children were factor analyzed to see if the dimensions of child behavior disturbance were invariant across samples. Results indicated that although there were some strong similarities across samples, there was also some uniqueness. (JKS)
