Loranger, Michel; And Others – Psychology in the Schools, 1984
Examined the effect of course content and cognitive style on classroom behavior in 29 low-achieving boys ages 12 to 14 who completed the Embedded Figures Test. Comparisons of classroom behavior observations showed field independent subjects were more disruptive, but behavior was principally influenced by course content. (JAC)

Compares 20 learning disabled children with Exner (1978) norms on nonpatient, withdrawn, and behavior problem children. The findings clearly show differences in perceptual accuracy, affective ratio, egocentricity index, and reaction to emotion-laden stimuli. (JAC)

Compared 75 adolescents' experience in daily interactions with family and friends, using self-reports. When with their friends, these adolescents reported a situation more conducive to enjoyment. However, those adolescents who spent more time with friends than with family showed poorer school performance and wider mood variability. (JAC)
