The study on the cost effectiveness of government support of higher education for the deaf found that, after 20 years, deaf Bachelor degree recipients: (1) will have earned $220,000-$365,000 more than persons without degrees, and (2) will have paid $89,000-$140,000 more in taxes than those without Bachelor degrees. This study estimated the cost effectiveness of a teacher career ladder reform program. An innovative multiple data source teacher evaluation system was used. Teacher time and dollar costs ranged considerably for different data sources and individual teachers; the annual dollar cost of providing eight data sources was $44.70 per teacher. (JD)
