Simulated jurors judged a defendant on trial for armed robbery after reading trial transcripts and other background information in a two x two factorial design which varied the defendant's race and socioeconomic status (SES). Male and female subjects in a "computer dating" study completed a sexual experience questionnaire as well as attitudinal and experiential questionnaires. In this study a male experimenter's style of dress had significant influence upon the number of agreements from older and younger women to answer the interviewer's questions and no influence upon men. The influence of spatial features of the counseling environment on conditioning of self-reference statements was examined in two studies conducted at disparate geographical locations.
